The OMAS Paragon Permanio Limited Edition brings together contemporary OMAS craftsmanship with a remarkable piece of the brand’s original history. Limited to just 143 individually numbered fountain pens, each example is fitted with a genuine new-old-stock OMAS Permanio nib manufactured in 1943 by the original OMAS in-house nib department.

Preserved for decades in Armando Simoni’s office safe, these historic nibs provide a tangible connection between the original OMAS manufacture and the brand as it exists today. Each pen pairs its historic nib with Pearl Grey Celluloid 1991 and the unmistakable twelve-faceted Paragon silhouette.

Pearl Grey Celluloid

The twelve-faceted Paragon body is crafted from Pearl Grey Celluloid 1991, produced using a celluloid-making process originally developed by Armando Simoni and preserved by OMAS. The material gives each pen a distinctive depth and character while honoring the traditional construction of the Paragon.

The cap is crafted from a single block with an internal channeling system and protective lining. Rhodium-treated appointments include hand-finished 18K rolled gold bands engraved with the classic OMAS Greek motif and a faceted phosphor bronze clip inspired by Simoni's late-1940s designs.

A Genuine 1943 Permanio Nib

At the heart of the Permanio Limited Edition is an authentic OMAS PERMANIO Patent 67849 nib, manufactured in 1943. The original nibs were produced by OMAS's in-house nib department and preserved as new-old stock for more than eight decades.

The nib offers an extra-flexible writing character with an approximate line width of 0.5–0.6 mm, supported by a traditional 6.5 mm ebonite feed. The nib holder is affixed to the barrel using tar, following historic OMAS construction methods.

The pen utilizes OMAS's traditional piston-filling mechanism, originally devised by Armando Simoni. Ink is held directly within the barrel without internal tubing or a modern converter, preserving the character of the original filling system.
