A new series of pens, but original Kaweco: The Kaweco Original impresses with its elegant lines and clear design. In particular, the matt look of the surface creates a pronounced exclusivity. The puristic design of the writing instruments harmonises wonderfully with the solid aluminum body, the chromated elements and a highly scratch-resistant anodizing.
There are five different nib sizes to choose from, from extra-fine to extra-broad. While the extra-fine nib (EF) is particularly good for small and delicate handwriting, the extra-broad nib (BB) is often used for large, dramatic signatures. We recommend the spring size M for beginners. All springs are made in Germany.
While the basic shape was based on writing implements from the late 50s, the octagonal shape breathes the typical Kaweco product DNA into the original. The handle in particular makes the writing instrument clearly recognizable, as it has a convex shape in contrast to other Kaweco series.
Due to the optimal shaft length, there is enough space for a large Kaweco standard converter. This can be screwed into the handle thanks to a thread. This means that you can also fill up from the ink bottles in addition to the Kaweco ink cartridges. The Kaweco Original is excellently balanced for long writing without the cap on. When on the go or when changing meeting rooms, the original can be securely attached to a desk pad or shirt pocket, for example, with a fixed clip.
Kaweco offers eleven colorful inks as ink cartridges or in an inkwell to match the fountain pen, as well as suitable standard converters for drawing up ink.
