Inspired by Yuichi Inoue (井上有一, Inoue Yūichi, 1916–1985) a prominent Japanese calligrapher and avant-garde artist known for revolutionizing traditional Japanese calligraphy (shodō) by pushing it into the realm of modern abstract expressionism.
The Weeks is a slim, long wallet-sized planner that is light and portable. It has a weekly horizontal layout with the weekly pages on the left and grid memo pages on the right. Each weekly spread also contains the characteristic “Daily Quote” on the bottom of the page. The book holds plenty of graph-ruled memo pages for note-taking at the end of the book.
The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 69 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back (73 pages in the English edition). The back of the book contains bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons and Oodles of Noodles.
