Twsbi Vac700R Iris Fountain Pen

I was really happy to find the Vac700R Iris still in stock here. The coloring of each pen is different, and mine came with a beautiful blue/purple gradient on the cap band. The Jowo-made #6 nib writes incredibly smoothly (I have a fine nib), no skipping or hard starts. There is a small amount of feedback without scratchiness. The vacuum-fill reservoir holds a gargantuan amount of ink. One push on the plunger using a non-TWSBI ink bottle fills approximately half of the reservoir, which for me is way more than enough as I do like to rotate through my pens somewhat regularly. A second push on the plunger after dispelling air within the reservoir completely fills the reservoir (there are YouTube videos on how to do this). I think this pen is particularly great for those who need enough ink to last through long writing sessions, e.g. students or writers, and for taking on flights as the ink shut-off valve prevents/minimizes ink spillage with changes in pressure. That said, I'd recommend this pen to everyone as a vacuum filler at this price and with this nib quality is a steal. This was my first purchase from Dromgoole's and a great purchasing experience.
