“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” —Jacques Cousteau
Timelessness takes time. So it is with the coveted coastal treasures known as sea glass that wash ashore during low tides all over the world. Shaped over many sunrises and sunsets, these bits of colored glass drift for as many as two hundred years, weathering storms in the salt water, tossing and turning, Mother Nature’s own polishing giving them their characteristically smooth, frosted texture.
Beaches along the Northwestern shores of the United States can be found teeming with these heirlooms and artifacts of whisky and spirits, trinkets, medicine bottles, dinnerware, jam jars, old taillights, and, if fortune finds you, a piece of an antique ink bottle.
The Estie Sea Glass was introduced to celebrate the shores of Esterbrook’s birthplace. Made of turned, highly polished acrylic marbled together from all the colors of sea glass one might find, the fountain pen features a stainless-steel JOWO nib and matching gold-plated clip that slides easily into one's shirt pocket. In addition, the cushion-cap closure provides a secondary seal to ensure a wet point every time you start to write.
